Scope of Application
It is widely used in superheater, header and main steam conduit of high pressure, ultra high pressure and sub-critical power plant boiler. At 580℃, it still has high thermal strength and oxidation resistance, and has high lasting plasticity. The production process is simple, the welding performance is good, but it is sensitive to the normalizing cooling rate. Long-term use at 580℃ will produce the second type of temper brittleness caused by the segregation of impurity elements such as phosphorus at the grain boundaries. Long-term use will also appear pearlite spheroidization.
This steel is mainly used after normalizing and high temperature tempering to manufacture superheated steel pipes, conduits, serpentine pipes and other corresponding forgings in high pressure equipment whose operating temperature does not exceed 570℃.
